Globus Maritime Limited (GLBS): CFO is Stepping Down

Globus Maritime Limited  (NASDAQ : GLBS) is a drybulk shipping company, providing marine transportation services on a worldwide basis.

CLBS currently owns and operates seven modern dry bulk carriers, consisting of one Kamsarmax, two Panamax, and four Supramax vessels, with a weighted average age of approximately 5.8 years as of September 30, 2012 and a total carrying capacity of 452,886 DWT.

Globus Maritime today announced that Mr. Elias Deftereos, Director, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of the Company, will be stepping down from his position effective immediately, to pursue other interests.

The Company’s Board of Directors has appointed Mr. George Karageorgiou, President and Chief Executive Officer of Globus, to act as Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company, while the company looks for a permanent replacement.

Globus Maritime shares closed 5% down.
